On the way home yesterday I found a REALLY nice 1987 442. Shows 42,xxx miles. They are asking $6,500. I really would like to get this car but it just doesn't make sense (I don't seem to have enough time for the 67 Cutlass). I thought about buying it, driving it til it snows and then parking it for winter. Drive it in the spring and sell it at Jefferson in the spring.
Question - Should I be able to get my $6,500 back out of it in the spring? Is there anything I should be looking for that are problematic with these cars? The paint looks really nice as does the interior. I haven't called the seller yet. I wanted to get all the info I could before I called. Any suggestions? This car does not have t- tops. Tires and rims look really good. I would like to use this as my daily driver for a while. What kind of gas mileage should I be able to get? Thanks, Dave
