This is the exact same thing that happened to me. I know that Gene said that you will receive your membership card, but I can tell you that I never did until I contacted OCA, got the run around between several officers since the membership director was on vacation, then finally someone (can't remember who) finally got my membership package out to me. The funny thing was they kept asking me what my membership number was, and of course I had no idea as I had never received one! If you don't get your new member package before your first issue of JWO (which is what happened to me), be sure to take Gene up on his offer for assistance.
