Got this from Jeff.
I only kept the bottom half of the bolt (pinion shaft
retaining bolt?), I don't know what I did with the top
part with the head, probably chucked it across the
garage :)  Anyway, I sent a pic of half the bolt and a
diagram in the olds book pointing to it.  If you have
one you can send it to: SSGT Jeff XXXXXXXXXXXXXX. 
Then what ever it costs I can send a check or ? to pay
for it.  I appreciate the help lots.  I am trying to
keep my Olds running over here in Japan and that in
its self is a challenge, but the Internet helps out
enormously as well as the olds digest.  Jeff

Here are the pictures he sent me.  I have a 68 442
type O rear out back,  Will my "pinion Shaft Retaining
bolt" be the same as his 65 cutlass????
