I told him that might be a bit optimistic, since the restored L69 1966 442
did not meet the reserve of oh $40k or so.
It has the "69" Garnet interior color which I have
seen on other Canada built 68 442's. (I do not know
if Garnet was available in 68 from the US plants or
not, I have only noticed it on Canada built cars)

I saw that as "really, really, RED"
the steering wheel looks almost out of place in all that red.
Despite its ridiculously armature fender stripe job
and incorrect configuration, the rest of the car is
decent and impressive.

I must say it is refreshing to see a car for sale with a freakin' SPARE TIRE
and maybe even a bumper jack. The lack of dash stripes and no mention of VIN
leads me to believe it's a CUTLASS glorified in the backyard to an OAI "442"
to collect big $ from the unsuspecting. Only a close inspection could reveal
what other corners were cut- wrong fasteners, incorrect carb and dist'r, D
heads or J?, etc. Frame rotted away like the '69 I am currently helping out
on? Pix show no rot, but pix of the '69 here, taken of the best spot and
not the worst, also showed no rot.
WANTED:
1968-9 2 groove Water Pump PULLEY "KA-401462" stamp . NOT the common PS Pump
Pulley. Must have 4 bolt holes + center hole for water pump use.
