Better yet move to Alberta.
Signs on the boulevards advertise $1000 bonus if you last 1000
hours. University offers $500 reward to anyone who brings in someone to
work in food prep. Fast food joints have closed the dine in portion and
only do take out because they can't find people at $12 an hour to run
the tills.
Now someone like you who can work with his hands and is not afraid
of a wrench or a torch could write their own ticket in the oil patch.
But more practically I agree with the other respondents, you are
self-employed in make-up-a-fancy-name-for-it.
