Although I could ask Dave privately, I figure there might be others who could
benefit from a public discussion.

I have decided that Dave's audio installation (nicely documented at

http://pages.cthome.net/davecullen/delta_audio_install.htm#audioinstall

is a wonderful model, and I intend to do something similar to my 86 Custom
Cruiser. I've already replaced the rear 4x10 speakers. They're an odd size,
but they mount right on the D-pillar, and there's not enough room for proper
6x9s. At least the new Polks that I installed are terrific, and they sound a
million times better than the GM paper speakers.

As far as the front goes, I agree with Dave's assertion that the 3.5" speakers
in the dash are lame, and that door speakers are probably the way to go.

Dave, how did you cut the front doors to do your installation? By the picture,
I surmise that you measured carefully and cut the door panel with tinsnips, but
how did you cut the metal door?

I may find myself wishing for an air compressor and appropriate cutting tools
on this job....
