Joe Thanks for the info about the Royal Purple. I just received an email back again stating that they do not want to give out their formula for fear that people will copy it. His push on the product is that you can have all the ingredients for excellent anti-wear but if the film strength of the oil is not strong enough there is still going to be metal to metal contact and states that the film strength of their oil is 400% stronger than all other oils so metal to metal contact is almost non existant. What are you running for oil? Just the regular motor oil or the XPR racing oil. He said that the regular motor oil meets the API SL requirements for the ZDDP, but goes on to say that the XPR racing oil is much greater and the film strength of 400% over any competitors. Just curious what you were using? If you do have those numbers on the zinc, I would love to see them.
