Hi,
I just did another install with the final candidate -- and found 1 thing I'd really like to change. Totally non-invasive: I think the default option in the boot menu on the CD should be "install" rather than "install in basic graphics mode".

In my experience, "install" actually works BETTER than basic graphics mode on most HW, and of course we want people to switch to KMS.

Also, we've had a chat on irc earlier today, and people were missing some packages on the CD that we might just add, given they have been tested through post-install urpmi-ing: k3b - probably the fact that it isn't there was an oversight in the first place, we do need a friendly UI for writing CDs/DVDs mc - one of the things you either love or hate -- while I'm on the side of hating it, seems some people simply need it
inxi - probably useful for getting better bug reports
p7zip - probably does make sense for people who exchange files with Windoze users

Any objections?

I concur on all. Especially default basic graphics has not worked for me. Normal graphics has been more successful and even Live mode seems a better default vis-a-vis an introduction to new users.
