Hi

One expert user, from the Italian Community, right now, has sent a msg
answering to my Info for the omv2014 Beta availability:

Mandian is saying that:

"The news that I liked into omv2014 is the most and that I do not know why, is
not mentioned in the ad or on the blog or in the wiki or in the release notes
is the ability to start the iso file directly from grub2 (the first OMA ISO
that allows it, with none workaround)"

I report here, his way to start into Live from grub2, the source msg is in
Italian, but it can be easily translated

In his previous msg there are some interesting impressions and suggestions for
omv2014 beta

below a fast translation:
======================================
- The transparency of the window bar is catchy but makes it less readable.
Maybe you could at least avoid transparency for the active window
- The icon 'Installation OpenMandriva Live' is absent.
- The search engines of Firefox are not localized and are not using these
versions https sites (when available). Maybe you could add DuckDuckGo and
search the wiki / blog OpenMandriva.
- Many packages in contrib are still omv2013.0 and often are not updated to the
latest stable release.
- Lib64ntfs-3g84 (omv2013.0) and lib64ntfs-3g85 (omv2014.0) are installed at
the same time (do not conflict, but it serves have two?).
- Hardrake does not want to open without connection (gives an error about $
mirrorlist as if to immediately install some package).
- Rpmdrake has sat down (slow down) the system
- The translation 'Power' in the menu is definitely literal but perhaps it
would be clearer to the classic 'Shut Down'.

There also remains the fact that many are missing packages in Mandriva.
=======================================================================

bye, NicCo
