Hi,

relly truth , i hate the squashfs installing methode, because
this make not possible for the user to installing exactly this what the user want (what all the user want) ! an RPM-Releate installation it is much better, because, like with the real installer, the one and only make it possible to the user for have an selection/choice to installing what exactly the user whant.. i be ever against this f-beep- crap, garbaged f-beep- installer who use squashfs method ,
where it is set/give, was installed and what not !

i hat the f.. crank installer with squashfs !

and i be an old Mandrake user !

best regards
Blacky

This specific also has a technical backgorund - we (both ROSA and OMV) are installing using squashfs - that is, an archive of filesystem where all packages are already installed. And after this archive is unpacked, unneeded packages are removed.

A possibility to make installer more modular and be able to install not just a single squashfs was discussed several times, but up to now we had no volunteers to implement this,
