Yep, just checked ... the point is the same
RPM network support is _DELIBERATELY_ broken
and should not be used or expected to "just work"
or anything else.
Largely because of opinions (like yours IIRC) that RPM should _NOT_
be used to fetch sources on build systems etc etc blah blah blah barf barf ...
I'm way tired of confused naive discussions about RPM "features"
and "bugs", the expectations are way out of line with "reality" ...
... so y'all get a perfectly pre-packaged excuse to _NOT_
enable features or upgrade or change a thing in RPM instead.
