Hello,

I'm afraid "don't like", "don't use", or "don't see the usefulness" is
different from releasing broken stuff.

Actually, choice among some options have been suggested:

1. Fix plymouth
2. Make text boot as default

For #1 there's been suggestion to downgrade plymouth 0.9 > 0.8.
Sadly it seems nobody believed it deserved at least a try, even if
some tests proved that plymouth 0.8 makes the plymouth screen play
correctly.
Esc key would work too (currently we can't: Esc _doesn't_ work, we
can't enjoy the nice scroll of [OK]s !)
Please see https://issues.openmandriva.org/show_bug.cgi?id=874#c8

You may want to think over that plymouth is one of the first things
that users and reviewers will see when they will test the distro.
A so flashy bug will bring to mind neglect and carelessness.

Imho, if nobody is able to fix it, or doesn't have the time, or
doesn't care, then at least let's try not go towards a bad impression
granted.

Imho2, it doesn't make much sense to go ahead with development (2015
and over) if we keep carrying on unsolved bugs.
