I'm very objective here.
Personally, don't know, don't care, I'm on rosa, at my home desktop,
on my laptops , and at work, OMA it's only a voice in the grub
to boot from iso, and 2 or 3 vm's.
Just a thought, in tty you might need directfb,when using the fbdev system,
, but as far I can see you don't really care about tty,
beside SDL without DirectFB support means a lot of SDL stuff won't work,
E17, lynks, ...a.s.o.
So is not about only "a videoplyer" as you pointed it out.
As I've already said , for what it's worth i'd like to have it on main,
and not on MRB
but , since nobody seems to care of course you'll drop it.
