Am I right? > Yes, only procrastrination has prevented me from putting together an image of what I got now, which is: Current cooker with all pesky vendor provided libraries, firmware, loading mechanisms and not, all properly ingerated and for those to care (dealing with these things are generally the most tedious part of doing an arm port, rebuilding the packages are just like rebuilding the packages as cooker otherwise, this OTOH is to deal with a specific kernel tree, libaries, +++ proprietary blogs and whatnot making it a not so generic task like done-once-done-everywhere). But for the situation of the Wandboard, there's only a few distributions available: An older version of Ubuntu with ancient 3.0.35 kernel, some Android distro, a yocto based xbmc distro running 3.0.35, there's also some of what seems like a "less" official arch version for it, while it seems more updated, it seems less announced.. The distro I have ready is based on 3.10.17 (latest full-featured for this board), mainly targetted kodi (former xbmc name, it boots by default, but can be disabled), with all hardware working wrt. vpu, gpu, bluetooth, wifi etc., which is a really tedious task to get going.. :p Considered the lack of such consumer updated distros (that's neither mainstream or up to date), cooker might just have a popular user base with this crowd. ;) I'll be working improving, both wrt. making it easier to build, also functionality. We've just had some talks on IRC on the greatness of ABF and how it's like Github (whihch rules) combined with OBS (which sucks, no git? W00T?!)!., had some discussions with other distributions showing interest in this platform, and unless we start kidding ourself and think we wanna have anyting of interest to show for our distribution as before, these things are more well worth presenting and people beyond die-hard fans might actually take a genuine interest and get involved.. :) Well, I'm just about to head out buying last christmas presents, so cya...;) -- Regards, Per Øyvind
