Gah... I've opened the drakx repo with the iso creation utility within it, for which I more or less actively maintain, while also tracking mageia branches, making it less of a hassle to maintain, while giving us a lot for free through their work on a distro which is *very* close to ours, with all (distro specific) quirks and what not that's of very nice value and often becomes quite important beyond just the matter of whether urpmi being supported or not..
Some time sooner or later, I'll merge the draklive stuff to be in sync with the drakx branch, probably bringing these two closer, most likely just as a part of drakx in the end. Also very convenient is that drakx serves as the foundation for the control center and several other tools, this makes it easier to keep focus on doing things in just one place rather than duplicating efforts several other places, leading to inconsistencies and maintenance headaches. As noone else has seemed to care about merging relevant stuff from omv_software/drakx branch into software/drakx yet, I figured that it might've been a bit too late for this, but considering that you propose an entirely new installer which doesn't even have support for urpmi in place yet, I guess that getting updated drakx branch into distro with classical installer etc. would sound less controversial. I'm anyways actively developing the stuff, and is more than competent to both maintain and develop it, while also working on shaping it more into what I/we want for it to be.. Btw. for the software/drakx branch, I intend to rename the control center to DrakX Control Center in order to make the name less tainted by vendorism as having vendor name in name of software and tools tends to have a not so good effect at increasing adoption nor contributions from the outside.. If OMV release would like to still have it named "OpenMandriva Control Center", that would be perfectly fine, but something for OMV to either maintain outside of upstream repo (ie. be it package patches or whatever), or implement proper functionality for custom naming that's acceptable for upstream. I'm not sure about exactly when I'll get around to do this work myself (others are still more than encouraged to help out, ie. Robert Xu, are you up for it?:), but I will try perform the necessary work in time for beta release at least. :) 2015-01-28 13:38 GMT+01:00 Per Øyvind Karlsen <[email protected]>: > 2015-01-27 23:45 GMT+01:00 Tomasz Paweł Gajc <[email protected]>: > >> Dnia wtorek, 13 stycznia 2015 12:53:26 Tomasz Gajc pisze: >> >> >> Hi, >> >> i got working calamares installer on cooker.
