Tomek, Though your reasoning is sound there is surely a problem with this philosophy since it virtually precludes us from contributing upstream. Basically we are expected everyone else to do all the work. That's not really what Open Source is about. It's a bit like torrents; we end up being the "leechers". Is there no way that debug symbols can be enabled selectively on a per package or a per group basis so at least we have the opportunity to be helpful to the overall effort? If there is not then perhaps and if it is actually a practical proposition we should file an ABF idea to explore the possibility of providing this functionality.
