Hi,

first the Drakconf in QT (but don't forget the prompt configuring or the configuring in Prompt like the setup from redhat ! )

then the whole tools where can link in with icons (or in prompt without icons)

and, naturally don't forget the Drakinstaller, there be i am agreed to + " +1 "

and imho, well, why not linking in the networkmanager into or make an own tool, where set up the
1. Computer name, Domain
2.IP
3.gw
and the hosts.file like in the old day's as it should be and it is suitably
include the view on ip6
ip, full name, alias
(the "127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost" it is in any way into and should be as standart in the first line as hardcoding befor save the whole other net-config/ip/hostnames.. this was in the last years, one of them, who have me disturbs, the reediting of the hosts-file what i had have resolved with the script who i had build configuring the network and then setting up the hostname + setting up the networkdevice )
....

The Drak-rpm-installer, include different desktop-configs and serverconfigs
and minimal config with ~600 mb and prompt only with urpmi...
per task-MMMMM.rpm and don't forget the custom install via single rpm-selecting

this is what i miss very ! An minimal install and Custom install via RPM !!

then the whole other tools.. in drakconf..

drakconf and drakinstall was one of MDK and MDV what' has made the Drake Distribution !

best regards
Blacky

Agreed. I would like to see a modern utility with same or similar functionality for us. Same for drake-installer. Or was it drak-install? That would make us stand out IMHO.

hehehe :)

Most of the drakx tools are either obsoleted by upstream (many functionalities are in systemd, or kde systemsettings) or not needed due to time flow.

We should start to rewrite it in Qt5.
