You make a good point. I'd rather see nothing at all than those sad 3
dots. Perhaps nothing, blank screen, with user option for text would be
way to go.

Plymouth is just cosmetic. It may sound strange to read it from
artwork team member... but really I'd prefer to see a quick console
running (it takes just a very short time if without any images and
scritp loading, people may not even realize that's missing if they
didn't know) than 3 sad square dots standing on my desktop waiting for
dunnowhat :)
