Hi Sven, Thank you for the link, however those steps aren’t new to me. I will setup a clone machine and try to upgrade omdlabs on centos but not sure yet what the best approach will be.
@Andreas, I did have success with upgrading the old omdlabs to 1.2.8r23 (out of my head) backup and restore on ubuntu check-mk-raw and restore without issues Done the changes and it starts the site without problems now. No errors in apache no errors on the service anymore (ssl) But I cant connect to it by browser Either it says SSL certificate too long And if I do curl it says I can’t connect to port 443 some more fiddling around it now tells me in the browser /MySite/omd not found -,- Kind regards, Dennis Sweben Sent from my iPhone On 18 Jan 2018, at 21:05, Sven Nierlein <[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>> wrote: Hi, you could have a look at: https://eur03.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Flabs.consol.de%2Fomd%2Fbackup_and_restore.html%23platform-migration-and-os-upgrades%2522&data=02%7C01%7C%7C0c83f9a4cde54006160508d55eaecd6a%7C84df9e7fe9f640afb435aaaaaaaaaaaa%7C1%7C0%7C636519027214374157&sdata=xL5ZgKxIw9sVQayGEhGls6WSVSJ%2F3vduRuuW4YgBiIk%3D&reserved=0 Not sure if this is true for the raw edition as well, but starting with OMD 2.40 you can just do cross-plattform backups/restores without manually fiddeling config files. OMD will run an "omd update" internally when restoring from a different release. Cheers, Sven On 18.01.18 18:01, Dennis Sweben wrote: Hi Andreas Thank you soo many times!! I got a test site up and running after loads of changes. The profiles init script apache config modules etc Going to redo it and write it all down and share it here as well, might be usefull for someone else :) and/or maybe someone would like to make a little bash for it Kind regards, Dennis Sweben Sent from my iPhone On 17 Jan 2018, at 22:27, Andreas Döhler <[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> <mailto:[email protected]>> wrote: Hi Dennis, with such a migration you must do some manual steps. I had done this week one migration from SLES11 to actual Ubuntu and then the same "problems". First edit the init file for the site apache - linke file for 85-apache. It is only one line with the executable for apache. The next step are some changes to the apache config itself. Easiest way for this is to create a test site on your new system and take this created apache config and compare it with your restored site. The test site should have the same version as your migrated site. There you will find many entries for the loading of apache modules. These entries must be changed to the new ones (copy and paste from the test site). If you now try to start the apache and get another error look at the mentioned config file and compare again with the test site ones.
