Wow. I don't know. It's *theoretically possible* but I think you'd have to install
OmniOS on a VM, zfs snapshot-and-send the rpool/ROOT/<be> to the OI box, and
manually construct an OmniOS BE around that received ZFS snapshot, including adding
GRUB entries.
Haven't tried it myself.
