How did you get openjdk8 to compile on OmniOS?  We thought about moving off of 
openjdk7, but had Real Problems (TM) making it happen.  Did you bootstrap with 
an Oracle binary?

I don't know if we patch openjdk7 to be more than 256 files, that MIGHT be 
possible in our openjdk7 build.

The ONLY reason, BTW, we ship any JDK is because of illumos's use of it for 
poold.  If I could be rid of JDK, I'd eliminate it and tell people to use 
omniti-ms, pkgsrc, or others.

No... our java gets (re)built with every release.
