The Olympics were fantastic.

Here are a couple of random thoughts on the Olympics.

Share yours:

Could they have been better at highlighting or introducing the has been British
stars/singers at the Opening/Closing ceremonies?  At the opening they say when
Paul McCartney popped up at the end  many of athletes on the field were texting
each other with no idea who he was.

Regarding these ceremonies:  Wasn't it all so overtly glittery and showy to be
at the same time so consciously and painfully socially aware?  GOSH, NHS, STOMP
and the Spice Girls?

I am all for great athletes, but can the world ignore further the sweat shop
China operates, snatching possible athletes from their families at age 6 and
making them train in a sport, without asking if they want to, and not providing
them with even a basic rudimentary education in reading or math, just in
gymnastics or swimming their entire lives...

Tom Daley is GREAT but would any other athlete have gotten a "do over" having
botched their first time attempt?

Isn't it great to see WRs can be broken in swimming, even after the banning of
full body suits?

Do you wonder what is hype and what is real at the Olympic Village?  Doesn't it
make you want to become a Village domestic worker in 2016? "here's your room
service sir, and can I massage that for you?"

These days have been wonderful, are we still in economic crisis?

Did Spain actually almost beat the "Dream Team" in the BBall finals?  Isn't a
shame they didn't?

Just a few things I have been thinking about.  What are yours?

As Always, ER
