Some Sundays provide hardly any sports distraction.  Some Sundays, like today,
there is a truesmorgasbord of Sports, top notch sports, on the agenda.

If you are interested in pro Hockey, the NHL All Star weekendin the USA and
Canada was contested yesterday. There is still much coverage ongoing across
your televisionsnetworks.

In the USA, the National Football League pro Bowl takes placethis afternoon in
Miami.  The Pro Bowl issometimes treated as an afterthought, but actually has
an almost 100 yearhistory.  Star players from the top NFLteams will play for
the honor and the glory of their respectiveconferences.  The Chiefs and the
49ersplayers are, of course excused from the action, as they are preparing for
next week's Super Bowl.  Many fans forgo the Pro Bowl, but manyplayers actually
relish the opportunity to play, as the younger players get toplay alongside
their idols who are still in the league.

In Australia, the Tour Down Under came to a thrillingconclusion, with the last
stage being a medium Mountain stage.  As expected, Richie Porte, who is an
allaround cyclist, snatched the top crown in the final stage from Daryl
Impey, riding for Mitchelton Scott, who had been at the head of the GC
standings, butslid into 6th place at the final.  Portewas riding for Trek
Segafredo.    Italian Diego Ulissi, riding for UAE Emirate, came in second with
the same time as four other riders.  American Joey Rosskopf, riding fo the
PolishCCC team, finished first in the King of the Mountains competition.

Of greatest interest, in Australia, is the ongoing AustralianOpen.  The
Australian Open is a tennistournament held annually over the last fortnight of
January in Melbourne,Australia. The tournament is the first of the four Grand
Slam tennis eventsheld each year, preceding the French Open, Wimbledon, and the
US Open. Themen's singles and doubles competitions are both moving into the
quarterfinals, with the finals to take place next Sunday. Today should provide a
goldmine for viewers and fans of tennis.

Not to be left without mention is the US Nationals of FigureSkating, finals
taking place, also, today...

Don't forget the Derby in Rome today, as top Serie Acontenders Roma and Lazio
tear up the pitch, and their fans the city, in one oftheir meetings.
