Agree OS perspective ? we shall support both Ubuntu and CentOS.
Supporting both OSes will help broader adoption and community support as these OSes have significant install base. Regarding to OS, yes, from theory, OPEN-O has no issue running on Ubuntu, which is most of the developers are using. However, we had a vote on the most used OS for Datacenter, CentOS stands out.
