Bharath,
First things first
1. From robot VM perform health checks and ensure SDC health doesn't fail.
2. If it fails, first please check if your DNS is working properly or not?
* Ex: from portal VM try to run : nslookup
vm1.sdc.simpledemo.openecomp.org
* If it doesn't work then check if you are using any external DNS
server, if so on the DNS you need to enable recursion (recursion yes)
3. Check if all the services in SDC are working fine
* Login to SDC VM
* Look for any errors in the logs
* Ex: docker container logs sdc-BE | grep ERROR
4. Sometimes rebooting of the VM will reinitialize the microservices and
fixes the issues.
best regards,
Ramu

portal.api.simpledemo.openecomp.org
Yes, I have added those hosts in my /etc/hosts file

http://portal.api.simpledemo.openecomp.org:8989/ECOMPPORTAL/login.htm
Yes, I used the above URL you mentioned and logged in with user "demo" and
"cs0008" also.
Can you please check the attachment for the exact error I got.

Hi,
I wanted to clarify the flow you are using to login into the SDC.
1. Are you using the ecomp portal to login?
2. Did you define the following hosts in your etc hosts file?
sdc.api.simpledemo.openecomp.org
portal.api.simpledemo.openecomp.org
3. When you login into the ecomp portal are you using this url?
http://portal.api.simpledemo.openecomp.org:8989/ECOMPPORTAL/login.htm
The ecomp portal pass an encrypted cookie with the user name of the user that
was logged in into it.
The cookie is decrypted on the sdc side and if the user exists in sdc you are
able to login.
The cookie decryption is connected to the hosts used.
