Good morning Viswa,

ONAP is about to evolve drastically if you look at all the submitted proposals
that are currently under review by the ONAP TSC.

An ONAP architecture subcommittee has been recently formed.
I believe it is a good start to understand not only what already exists but
also where ONAP will go ...

Best regards
Catherine

Subject: [onap-discuss] How modular is ONAP?

Dear All,

I'm trying to study the architecture of ONAP from scalablity & modularity
perspective.
While most of ONAP components are dockerized, still the demo deployment is
happening via VMs in example demo deployment.

While I understand that the release HEAT file is just a demo and not to be
taken for typical deployment use-case, I would like to understand how modular
the contents are.

For example, assume I have my own inventory mgmt system, what effort does it
take for me to integrate that to ONAP, instead of using AAI? What if I wanna
plug-in my own SA system etc.

Please point me to some SMEs in ONAP, so that I can continue my discussions
with them.

BR,
Viswa
