Hi Guangrong,

The default is “-release-version-java-daily”. The other job templates are for
if you have specific requirements that cannot be fulfilled by the default, e.g.
if you need to build a “subproject” that doesn’t reside at the root of your
repo.

The “-stage-site*” jobs build and deploy javadocs and are not the same as the
“-release-version*” jobs.

Thanks,
Gary

Subject: [ci-management][integration] How to Set Up Staging Tasks in Jenkins

Hi Jess & Gary,

I'm trying to modify the version of our components in compliance with the
requirement in Independent Versioning and Release
Process<https://wiki.onap.org/display/DW/Independent+Versioning+and+Release+Process>.
But I don't know which the exact jenkins job is for the staging purpose. I
found "*-release-version2-java-daily" and "*-stage-site-java" jobs in the
global template. Both of them seem to have something to do with the staging
things.

Which one is supposed to be adopted for the sake of independent versioning and
release process?

Thanks.

Guangrong
