Santiago,
Just to add to Roger’s mail – there is a JIRA on enumerating various subsets
of ONAP – I recently triaged one around policy/portal combination that is
listed there for example. Functionality is limited to what is deployed (for
example the following has no SO component so is useful only from a policy
developer perspective – not for orchestrating VNFs)
HELM_APPS=('message-router' 'vid' 'portal' 'policy' 'aai' 'sdc' )
A second set of examples is specific to the use case you would like to run -
for example the vFW does not need the following (vVolte and vCPE do) – so vfc,
vnfsdk, aaf and multicloud are optional for the vFW.
Also if you are running Beijing (for now) you can also remove dcaegen2.
We should have a complete list of all the subtrees of valid ONAP deployments
from each root to the whole system.
Each set will need to be verified for deploy-time dependencies and runtime
dependencies.

Subject: Re: [onap-discuss] Light installation
Hi Santiago,
Yes. When deploying ONAP via OOM you’ll clone several scripts including
‘setenv.bash<https://gerrit.onap.org/r/gitweb?p=oom.git;a=blob;f=kubernetes/oneclick/setenv.bash;h=3f1af4de8a34e3783ceb4b9c9fc5d63f765a1f88;hb=refs/heads/master>’
which contains the following environment variable:
HELM_APPS=('consul' 'msb' 'mso' 'message-router' 'sdnc' 'vid' 'robot' 'portal'
'policy' 'appc' 'aai' 'sdc' 'dcaegen2' 'log' 'cli' 'multicloud' 'clamp'
'vnfsdk' 'uui' 'aaf' 'vfc' 'esr')
Just edit this list to include the component you consider part of the ‘light
version’ and when you deploy ONAP you’ll get just the subset you’re interested
in. Keep in mind that there are dependencies between the components (for
example many components require message-router) that need to be satisfied.
Cheers,
Roger
P.S. The OOM team is working towards making this even easier, stay tuned…

Subject: [onap-discuss] Light installation
Hi all,
sorry if this is not the best forum to make this question but I deeply searched
in the wiki and I didn't find a better option.
Is there a way to install/deploy an ONAP reduced resources or light version?
I'm trying to install the platform in my company local environment but i don't
have the hughe amount of resources required by the full installation, and the
component by component installation is not always well documented or uses
references to not existing/deprecated code.
I saw that Beijing release will have a "light" version but I don't know if it's
available to test.
Thanks,
Santiago
