Yes Milind. Based on feedback and brainstorming with various people, it appears the right path is to use SO for any dependency/pipelining across VNFs of a service. Use MC or leverage lower components for any dependency/pipelining across individual resources of a VNF.

If SO is going to parse the TOSCA and call individual MC APIs then it would be SO to manage these dependencies. If SO is going to handover the compete TOSCA to MC - then it would need to do it. But I think the better design would be for SO to remain as master orchestrator and manage these dependencies. Now when adding the TOSCA support these aspects should be taken care of. Say that B and C depend on A to be ready and hence should be brought up only after A is up and running. Say that D depends on B and C and hence should be brought up only after B and C are up and running. I understand that in TOSCA, there is a way to create relationships and have a way to insert scripts to check for readiness. So, I guess this is taken care in use cases that are described using TOSCA. My question is with respect to SDC+SO+MC kind of orchestration. Is that possible in this combination? If so, any pointers are appreciated.
