Hi Jimmy,

We are working on ONAP El-alto release. we have following two issues.

1. We applied the patch from https://gerrit.onap.org/r/c/aai/oom/+/104419 for
the AAI to resolve Expiring AAI Certificate Issue in El-alto. At the time of
deployment of AAI after applying patch we are getting the error(i.e. "[ERROR]
templates/: render error in
"aai/charts/aai-traversal/templates/deployment.yaml") as mentioned in the
attachment (error_trace_deploying_aai).

 But Even after getting the error mentioned in 1st point Pods related to AAI
came up. can we ignore error which we are getting ? If there is a solution
please let us know.

2. we are getting "403"( i.e. "Forbidden" error) .

While doing GET cloud-region RegionOne data, we are getting below error from
robot pod which is due to certificate issue, we are getting same issue in
postman also. Below error we are getting before & after applying patch 104419.

root@demo-robot-robot-59d7c9dc45-7t76l:/# curl -k

Denied","path":"/aai/v11/cloud-infrastructure/cloud-regions/cloud-region/CloudOwner/RegionOne/availability-zones/"}root@demo-robot-robot-59d7c9dc45-7t76l:/#

Note: we use "redeploy-module.sh" script to redeploy AAI component with the
patch 104419.

Any inputs or suggestions for these issues are appreciated.

Regards,
Manjunath.

Hi, Thamlur,

The charts were relocated in el-alto, so you can’t apply these patches for
Dublin.

You can, however, use the six files from the commit to patch dublin:

These files:

Hi Jimmy/Marco,

Thanks for the update.

Currently we are using Dublin AAI release and updated it with below cherry
pick, but didn’t worked for us (getting 403 error).

  1. Will it be work only R5 and master not for Dublin? As you mentioned in
subject, it is for El Alto and Master?
  2. If yes, please suggest for Dublin release also.

Thanks & Regards,

Thamlur Raju

All,

Just a reminder: AAI helm charts aren’t hosted by OOM repo, so applying this
patch to OOM (El Alto or master) repository won’t work as the change that Jimmy
mentioned is in the AAI repository. Hence, the procedure to apply this patch is
the following:

  *   Clone aai/oom:
     *   git clone
"https://gerrit.onap.org/r/aai/oom<https://ind01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Furldefense.proofpoint.com%2Fv2%2Furl%3Fu%3Dhttps-3A__gerrit.onap.org_r_aai_oom%26d%3DDwMGaQ%26c%3DLFYZ-o9_HUMeMTSQicvjIg%26r%3DOej6QUk5p2KdqNEWySpOHA%26m%3Dr0250892IKp5U_VgJ7pUHaDn2mVtUnu4ApALtiWyFiI%26s%3D1a_N-3aa6-VnNVcw7srUlzmFJPufH2Q6N7rS8O5-U9I%26e%3D&data=02%7C01%7Cdevangam.manjunatha%40ltts.com%7Cec974cf4752340069e2308d7d195a1bd%7C311b33788e8a4b5ea33fe80a3d8ba60a%7C0%7C0%7C637208312925829155&sdata=pq93FovPvSO0Ga54B4lfX1mmcVPlAdvJv%2Fl3Nzs6m6g%3D&reserved=0>"
 aai_oom

  * Go to the cloned directory:
     *   cd aai_oom

  * Switch branch to elalto in case you are using El Alto, otherwise skip the
following step:
     *   git checkout elalto

  * Apply the patch that Jimmy pushed:
     *   git pull
"https://gerrit.onap.org/r/aai/oom<https://ind01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Furldefense.proofpoint.com%2Fv2%2Furl%3Fu%3Dhttps-3A__gerrit.onap.org_r_aai_oom%26d%3DDwMGaQ%26c%3DLFYZ-o9_HUMeMTSQicvjIg%26r%3DOej6QUk5p2KdqNEWySpOHA%26m%3Dr0250892IKp5U_VgJ7pUHaDn2mVtUnu4ApALtiWyFiI%26s%3D1a_N-3aa6-VnNVcw7srUlzmFJPufH2Q6N7rS8O5-U9I%26e%3D&data=02%7C01%7Cdevangam.manjunatha%40ltts.com%7Cec974cf4752340069e2308d7d195a1bd%7C311b33788e8a4b5ea33fe80a3d8ba60a%7C0%7C0%7C637208312925829155&sdata=pq93FovPvSO0Ga54B4lfX1mmcVPlAdvJv%2Fl3Nzs6m6g%3D&reserved=0>"
 refs/changes/19/104419/1

Replace the original oom/kubernetes/aai directory with the patched one (aai_oom
in the example above, remember to rename it to aai when moving it to
oom/kubernetes).

Jimmy,

After these steps are done, do we have to wipe out AAI and rebuild from
scratch? Is there a way to retain existing data in case we need to rebuild?

Thanks,

Marco

Dear ONAP Community,

Please be advised that the certificates that aai-resources and aai-traversal
are using will expire on 26 May, 2020 – that’s tomorrow (or today already for
some of you).

In order to keep your environments running, there is a commit for elalto here:

You can cherry pick these to keep your AAI running while we work on getting
them merged.

Thanks for your patience, my auto-scan job failed on these AAF certs and I was
under the wrong assumption that they were synced with the AAF issued server
certs AAI is using that expire in September of this year.

Any questions, please feel free to reach out.

Thanks,

jimmy
