Hi, Here is my two cents…
To my understanding, Georg and DT proposed the Portal NG as a PoC project in London. He presented the Portal NG PoC architecture to ARCCOM and he got no objection. David McBride would know better, but in my opinion, the PoC can be handled informally, still creating PoC REQ, Epic, User Stories, etc. Creating the Portal NG repo for PoC needs to be discussed. Once DT implements the Portal NG, they can present its capabilities to ONAP community and collect feedback. Once the Portal NG contribution becomes official, then, we can go thru a formal procedure. At this time, we don’t need to appoint PTL, committers and others because most likely, the PoC will handled by DT. One thing from the SECCOM discussion (Amy, Pawel and others)… Since the current Portal is inactive and will go thru unmaintained project process, we don’t want to mix the current Portal with the Portal NG (e.g., code, repo…). The Portal NG is a new thing. Since the Portal NG would replace the current inactive Portal, its position would be similar in the ONAP architecture, with new/enhanced features. It security handling is already discussed at ARCCOM. This would be a good discussion at the TSC. Dear Architecture community, I have sent now E-mail on two channels and never got any reply so I broaden the distribution list as a kind of last resort. The request that I have put forward together with Andreas was to try out the Telekom portal as a PoC within ONAP. Statement in the TSC was “…to become a PoC the portal has to be onboareded as a complete project…” In the TSC I was told to go to the Arch, which I did. In the ArchCom (a few weeks ago) I was told to work on a jira ticket that I so far did not receive. As an outsider to your processes it is unclear how to proceed now. Maybe there is a contact person that could help to facilitate with the papertrail required? Any advise would be appreciated!
