Weather:
Light winds with misty drizzle to start the day. Moved to the South Lookout
at 9:30am EST. Light northerly winds with continuing drizzle and mist which
gave way to fog. Visibility improved to overcast skies by the afternoon
with some brighter periods and even a bit of blue sky from time to time.

Raptor Observations:
One Merlin rocketed through just above the ground at the North Lookout. A
group off 44 Turkey Vultures pushed through the fog at the South Lookout
early. The flight began to pick up in the afternoon as it cleared up with a
steady flow of Turkey Vultures. A good day for harriers with 18. A dozen
sharpies and two Coops. Thirteen red-tails. Just after 1pm EST the season's
first SWAINSON'S HAWK (light morph) came through with a group of vultures.
It circled in front then glided past a bit more inland. For falcons we had
six kestrels and an additional Merlin. A Barred Owl was also heard calling
from the South Lookout in the morning.
