A moving letter to the editor in the Winona Daily News today by Terry
Selleck whose son died after being struck by a car. Mr. Selleck then worked
with others to get a stop sign at the intersection. He talks about the
importance of getting involved and the lack of civic involvement in Winona.

So why do you think people don't attend city council meetings or take much
of an interest in local elections? Are there ways to improve this
