I doubt that anyone will dispute the fact that the county court house is going to have to be gutted.  A building, no matter how new or old can sustain the intense water damage and not need to be totally rebuilt.

The issue is going to be, in rebuilding in the current structure and building a new structure.  It will be interesting to see architectual ideas about what is possible.

What has amazed me so far, is the lack of hysteria when the head lines and editorials so far have rasied the question of the viability of rebuilding and maintaining the old court house.

I don't know if we have anyone from the County Board following discussions on this forum but hopefully we can assist them in measuring the attitude of the general public about this issue as they explore their options as they move towards a final decision.

At this point I can only say that I have not heard any hard core protests against going onward to a new building.  One that would perhaps pull the various aspects of county government together for more ease of access to all the various components.

What is your take as you move around the community?
