[Winona Online Democracy]

The last thing we need law enforcement to do is to determine what laws they
need to enforce. Enforcement is their responsibility and what we as
taxpayers have empowered them to do. The Legislature can change the law,
the Governor can veto any proposed law or change in existing law and the
courts can interpret the law but those are the rules of the game. Follow
the law, change the law but anyone who thinks they are above the law needs
to be ready to accept the outcome that they and they alone have created for
themselves.

Responsibility must have consequence to be effective.
