[Winona Online Democracy]
Hello Steve and Others,
I'm glad to hear I wasn't grossly uninformed, I didn't think that kind of
information existed on a web page yet.
Yes, it would be a great service to have this kind of listserve help create
such a website.
Either a non partisan list or a list of links to partisan web sites with
very clear indications of their partisanship, would be great.
It was a great suggestion.
To follow up on Steve's lead, I'll follow with a link to the local Winona
County Greens Party. At this site you can find where Ralph Nader, Winona
LaDuke, and the Greens stand on a wide range of issues.
The URL is: WinonaGreens.org
After the elections, I would love to hear other's feedback on the idea of
moving away from a "winner take all" approach to elections at the State and
National levels and the Electoral College at the national level.
There are two great articles on the Electoral College in today's Star
Tribune, Monday, October 30, 2000. There seem to be some major systemic
road blocks to increased voter turnouts and allowing room for a wider range
of political thought. A subject for another day.
Steve, thanks for the great suggestions.
Dwayne
