[Winona Online Democracy]
Thanks for the many good perspectives on elections. With the current strong
interest on the election process, it's timely to think about how we might
strengthen opportunities to vote in all elections. In Winona, have we ever
talked with voters and non-voters about barriers to expressing voice through
a vote? Do we know what overwhelms people as they face the process? Often,
our only understanding is through our privileged lives and freedoms that
allow us to easily drive to a polling place, be recognized by an election
judge, and greet our neighbors in the process. How might we help stimulate
a national conversation about this issue at this time of ripe interest?
