[Winona Online Democracy] If the November elections raised your interest in election reform and in learning more about Minnesota's election systems, plan to attend two Winona forums. This Thursday (March 29th), Patti Hurd of Fair Vote Minnesota will discuss voting methods and some solutions to election problems. The 7:00 p.m.forum will be held at the Winona Senior Center at Fifth and Main Streets. Fair Vote Minnesota is a coalition of concerned citizens formed to educate voters throughout the state about the advantages of other ways of voting, especially proportional representation systems. A second forum will be held at the Winona Middle School auditorium on Tuesday, April 3, at 7:00 p.m. Minnesota Secretary of State Mary Kiffmeyer and Winona County Auditor Cherie McClennan will discuss the theme "Minnesota and Winona County: Do You Know About the Voting Patterns?" These forums resulted from issues raised on Online Democracy. The sponsoring committee includes Paul Double, Karen Fawcett, Lee Luebbe, Duane Peterson, and Dwayne Voegeli. Hope to see you there! ---------------- This message was posted to the Winona Online Democracy Project. Please visit http://onlinedemocracy.winona.org to subscribe or unsubscribe.
