[Winona Online Democracy] It has been one week now since the United Way made the announcement of their bold, courageous decision to cease funding the Boy Scouts in light of that organizations continued discrimination of gays. While, it has been the hot-botton topic here on online, few letters on the subject have appeared in the Daily News. As wonderful as onlinedemocarcy is, it still represents only a small portion of the Winona population. Therefor, i would like to urge some of the people who have posted well-thought out opinions on this subject here to turn them into letters to the Daily News so that a wider community can be brought into this dialog. Perhaps if we can stir the waters here in Winona enough we can affect a positive change that will eventually help to change the national BS policy.
