[Winona Online Democracy]
Why, thank you Mr. Double!
I, too, believe that the teachers of WACS and Winona Area Public Schools
are doing an excellent job! Especially when one realises that a public
school such as ours must provide a quality and equitable educational
opportunity for ALL children . . the hearing impaired, visually
handicapped, those with special physical needs, emotional and/or social
needs, unique learning styles, children from caring and involved families,
as well as neglected and abused children from families that don't give a
rip.
It is a wonderful and worthy profession; teaching! Teachers change the
present and touch the future. Maybe we should have a
if-you-can-read-this-thank-a-teacher day! Can a parent, an individual, a
community ever truly thank a teacher enough?!
So . . . thank you, Paul, for recognizing the importance of attracting and
keeping quality teachers in the Winona area.
