[Winona Online Democracy]
I have spent the last week reading and deleting most of the notes in this forum. Being in an on-line forum has one advantage for me - the delete key. If the focus of the discussion is something that is of no interest to me, I do not take it personally, I delete it. In order for this forum to be effective and accepted as a change agent within the community, it will need to mature. It is a tool that can do many things including informing, providing a platform for new ideas, bringing people together, acting as a tool for learning and communicating differences of opinion - things that are necessary for any community to thrive. However, we are not at that point yet. Each day we get a little closer. This is not an accusation, it is simply a statement. We are at the stage in development of a new "process" called storming. This is normal. Now we need to take the next step which is to make this tool an effective application for our community. So, storm on, I will delete until it is time to move on. So, don't get frustrated or give up. Hang in there. This technology's time will come also. Give it time.
