* * *Primary Skills:* *Actuate* * * *Batch Execution* * * *GUI Design* * * *J2EE Platform* * * *Java* * * *Oracle* * * *UNIX* * * *Web Services* *# of Years Required:* *10+* *Secondary Skills:* *MQ Series* *# of Years Required:* *2-4* *Job Purpose/ Description:* *• Develops and designs the layout of reports. • Possesses an understanding of the underlying data sources, e.g., databases, XML, services, as well as expertise in interpreting the requirements provided by the user (typically management). • Involved in the integration, query, and analysis of gathered and stored data to provide key performance measurements, operating alerts, and management reports, which help decision makers make better business decisions. • Excels at working with the business community to gather and analyze business requirements and create technical / functional specifications; performs the development and implementation of these specifications into code. • Evaluates and implements new initiatives on process improvement and technology initiatives. • Serves as SME in all aspects of systems / applications software technology and/or application components. • Resolves application and technical problems of the highest complexity. • Leads interdepartmental or interdivisional operational project initiatives. • Analyzes performance and capacity issues of the highest complexity with systems / applications software and/or application components. • Continuously cultivates knowledge of emerging technologies. • Provides mentoring and training to junior staff. • Serves as initial point of escalation for all processing and operational issues. • Assists management in coordinating business area activities and balancing workload. • May design, implement and improve workflows, as well as assign projects. •Excels at working collaboratively with IT staff on development, troubleshooting, and other technical efforts. •Extensive knowledge in Fixed Income Investment & Portfolio Management concepts and terms is required. •At least 10 years of hands on experience in writing PL/SQL, Procedures, Functions, Packages and OLAP functions in ORALCE 10G. Extensive experience in using DATA MART and DATA WAREHOUSE architectures. High caliber knowledge in optimizing complex queries. •Extensive experience in using Web-logic Portal, HTML, DHTML, AJAX , Java and J2EE Framework •Demonstrated knowledge in using Informatica Powercenter tools 7.1 and above for implementation of ETL methodologies in Data Extraction, Transformation and Loading. •Demonstrated knowledge in Tools such as TOAD and SQL Navigator. •Demonstrated knowledge in using AUTOSYS tool to schedule ETL jobs •Working knowledge of OBIEE – Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition •Working knowledge of C-Shell, K-Shell and Solaris 2.8 and above. •Working knowledge of SCCS STAR TEAM •Ability to understand or modify existing PERL scripts •Good communication skills •Working Knowledge in using EAGLE PACE (V9 and above) ETL, EAGLE PACE SRM and STAR is a plus •Working knowledge of IBM Data Quality (DQ)/Iridium Back Stage Recon tools is a plus •Working knowledge of Messaging Middleware MQ, XML and XSLT is a plus •Working knowledge of Actuate Report Designer and E-spreadsheet is a plus •Working knowledge in ITIL is a plus* *Tasks and Responsibilities:* *• Completely adept and understanding and leveraging business requirements and processes for the creation of functional / technical specifications and their development into code. • Displays problem solving and analytical skills, using them to resolve business and/or technical problems. • Excellent knowledge of programming / systems analysis, as well as quality assurance, prototyping, construction, integration, and migration functions; possesses an excellent understanding of programming languages, development tools, and the current environment. • Possesses an excellent understanding of business requirements and IT strategies; draws on extensive knowledge base (e.g., infrastructure, technology, and applications) to analyze problems of the greatest complexity and contribute to troubleshooting efforts. • Leverages excellent design understanding and/or capabilities (e.g., database, application code, reusable objects, and interfaces) to optimize development efforts in a distributed environment; adept at understanding operational nuances across multiple business units / functional areas. • Responsible for supervising more junior staff in the execution of projects. • May serve as back-up for manager. • May have involvement with the business during its strategic planning and budget cycles to leverage knowledge and anticipate technology transformation potential from a customer perspective; . The contractor will be required to directly or indirectly participate in the following tasks: 1.Quickly understand the existing development & production environment and tool sets 2.Work closely with the business analysts to understand the requirements for functional design 3.Develop Technical designs for unit of work that will be performed in ORACLE, OBIEE, Weblogic Portal, Actuate, IBM MQ and IBM DQ/Iridium Back stage tools 4.Develop SQL/PLSQL in ORACLE, J2EE Frame work using HTML, DHTML, AJAX , IBM MQ and etc 5.Develop data scripts to support unit testing 6.Test and validate Informatica workflows, Actuate reports and home grown frame work reports 7.Physically be on site to support the execution of the Integration/UAT testing and production release. 8.Assist in the technical documentation of each workflow 9.Participate in all project meetings 10.Develop project handoff documentation at the end of the assignment* *Required education/experience:* *• Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. • 10 plus years of IT work experience in systems programming / analysis. • Typically experienced across multiple Information Technology areas and all system / applications software development. • Serves as point of escalation for complex issues. • Responsible for developing and executing project plans, as well as coordinating groups of IT staff.* ** *Please do contact and Reply on at [email protected] OR [email protected] or call 732-321-9227 Ext 207 for immediate response.
