Position : Java UI Developers (2 openings)
Location : Seattle, WA (Locals or regional candidates preferred)
Duration: 6 months with possible extension
Rate: $54/hr all inclusive on corp to corp
This person must have strong UI development skills and experience using JSF
(Java Server Faces) and IceFaces. JBOSS Seam is a big plus.

*Summary Description*:
This candidate is expected to be fully competent to work on complex
development assignments and deliver solutions qualified for in-network
product operation. Candidate must be able to document solution well enough
to allow customer’s staff to administer after installation and
validation. Candidate
is expected to have a firm grasp of Java, SQL, Bourne Shell Scripting, and
Unix. Candidate must have skills necessary to design, develop, and maintain
Operation Systems Support (OSS) applications and provisioning Web GUIs; develop
operational metrics; and convert approved wireframes into functional CSS,
HTML, Java, JSF Web pages.
*Major Duties and Responsibilities*: Senior developer who can:
· Develop applications in multiple programming languages
including MySQL, SQL, UNIX shell scripting, Java, JavaScript, HTML, and
light C++.
· Maintain and develop OSS applications from
architecture, through design, coding, debugging, and deployment. Collaborate
on and support writing of specifications.
· Lead fast-paced design review workshops with
developers, system engineers, customer representatives, business analysts,
marketing management, etc. · Lead or participate in
peer reviews with senior manager and supervisor, followed by all-team formal
reviews. · Write front-end, middle-tier, and back-end
Java code for Web GUIs.
· Write manual and automated unit tests to integrate
with code.
· Ensure that each coding path is unit tested and bug
free. · Participate in full integration testing. ·
Rapidly address issues and fix defects discovered during formal QA testing.
*Candidate Qualifications*:

*Education:*
• *Bachelors Degree (preferably in Computer Science or similar
discipline) from a four-year college or equivalent experience. *

*Knowledge & Skills:*
• *Quality orientation with a strong eye for detail.*
• *Structured approach towards development of processes and
procedures.*
• *Strong oral and written communication skills.*
• *Detail-oriented, with strong analytical skills.*

*Experience:*
• *Minimum 2 years experience building Web sites.*
• Minimum 5 years programming experience developing software
using Java.
• Minimum 2 years of programming Web applications experience
with CSS, JavaScript, XML, and HTML.
• Minimum 2 years hands-on development experience in JSF,
XHTML technologies like IceFaces
• Minimum 3 years programming experience in writing complex
SQL queries.
• *Experience with JBoss Seam.*
• Minimum 2 years shell scripting experience (Bourne Shell a
plus).
• *Strong data analysis skills a must.*
• *Proficiency in a UNIX environment. *
• *Experience deploying and configuring Java and Web
applications on Solaris platforms.*
• *Successful experience working with an agile-style software
development team.*
• *Strong ability to communicate and document (white board,
Visio diagram, design documents, release notes, etc.) the architecture,
design, and test strategy of your products. *
• *ClearCase experience preferred. *
• *Excellent JavaScript skills.*
• *Cross-browser development and issues resolution between IE
and Firefox.*
• *Firefox JavaScript debugging.*
• *IE JavaScript debugging.*
• *Perl experience a plus.*
• *Ice Faces experience a plus.*
• *Ant experience a plus. *
