If the new CMS can be used, then I'd recommend going with that. It
would be nice to get the community working with that today, as it

Definitely +1 on using the new Apache CMS, get on it from day one, and
save a lot of pain later. It's not perfect, but it's the way to go.
Also, since it's used and supported by many Apache projects already,
it's easier to get support and new features added.
