Daniel, Bringing up the test systems for the forum and the wiki are crucial for two reasons: to know that preservation and migration is workable. We now have some non-technical matters to reconcile.
I think the forum community wants the forum community and the OpenOffice.org Community to survive and thrive. They assume (and have been warned by visitors from here) that Oracle is going to pull the plug. They are hoping to be welcome, respected guests, it seems to me. They are apprehensive about how they see they might be treated; they are disturbed about what they encounter. They don't want to find themselves treated as refugees under the kind of domination they have not suffered thus far. It is part of their fear and apprehension in the face of a disruption that is known to be coming but is mostly invisible. I don't know that *anyone* has actually invited them. They have been told what the changes are, as in mailing list messages and the sudden transfer of Bugzilla. I'm not sure that they know they can decline our offer, also. That probably looks suicidal. I don't believe we do have the right to the forums if they do not consent.
