First of all, a disclaimer: my skills as digital artist are not good so if someone else like the idea, please redo the image on a proper way!
I took the old OOo logo from wikimedia(1), the new logo(2) and put both together on a sort of "transition", blurring the old one: http://people.apache.org/~rgb-es/Transition-logo.png My idea is to use something like this, maybe on the announcement for 3.4 final, to emphasize that AOO is the continuation of OOo.
