I took the old OOo logo from wikimedia(1), the new logo(2) and put
both together on a sort of "transition", blurring the old one:

3.4 final, to emphasize that AOO is the continuation of OOo.

I don't know where you got the graphics from but if you could take care of
the edges, so that they are not cut off, then I think it's great if the
graphic could be used in announcements like blogs posts etc.
