Note that the footnotes were created in MS Word 2010 > as endnotes and placed at the end of the section text. The format of both > footnotes in Writer is the same as described for FootnotesAtBottomOfPage.docx. > > When Writer opens FootnotesAtBothPlaces.docx, the placement is consistent with > the previous descriptions. The first footnote appears at the bottom of the > page, and the second footnote (created as an endnote in MS Word) appears at > the > top of the succeeding page. > > > > Using Writer > I experimented with footnotes and endnotes in Writer. I added two footnotes > and they appeared at the bottom of the page without vertical alignment > issues. > I added an endnote and it was added to the succeeding page. If the definition > of an endnote in Writer is to place endnotes at the end of the document, then > the import of FootnotesAfterText.docx may not interpret how Word describes the > location of endnotes in its documents. > > > > User Impact > The primary user impact is the endnote. If an author of a MS Word document > intends to place endnotes in a section of text and Writer imports those > endnotes to the end of the document, some context or reference in the document > is lost or confusing for the Writer user. I verified the bug in Writer Version: DEV300m106 (Build:9582). The footnotes do not appear when importing Test.doc. -- Configure bugmail: https://issues.apache.org/ooo/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
