The visible side of the issue seems to be that the "Drucken" dialog remains open (maybe waiting for something) even thought the page has been prepared. I tested on Linux Fedora 16 - 64 bits with a network printer, "test" text, direct printing from the toolbar icon (just like in your screencasts), and it prints so fast that I can't even see the dialog.
