does not open successfully in Winzip (9.0) on WinXP.

It does open OK using 7-Zip and Ant 1.8.2, however most Windows users won't
have these. Also, Winzip can open the tar.gz version, but Windows users are
more likely to download the zip.
I don't know how the zip file is created currently, but surely the process can
be changed to generate a file that Winzip can open successfully?
The same applies to the 3.4.0 release, i.e.
